Due to it being the 25th, and many of us are with our facilities, this day's meditation is slightly abbreviated and you might hear a bit of the old house's heating system in the background, but with the background music, one can easily keep focused on the vision working.
Mars is the ruler of Aries, and martial associations help us connect with the primal fire of this sign. Obviously a simple red candle is a great way to connect with fire and aries, but the incense of dragon's blood and tobacco, as well as the scent and taste of black pepper connect with Mars. Wormwood is also a martian herb, with associations of both Mars and Pluto. Mars stones include hematite, bloodstone, ruby and garnet, and one of the traditional birthstones of Aries is diamond. Aries rules the tarot card of the Emperor, the warrior king enthroned, looking upon his empire.
Since this working will be a microcosm of the forces for the month when the Sun is in Aries, you might want to pull a Tarot Card, Rune, Ogham or any other divination omen before, or after the workings, to give yourself further insight.
Entering into a meditative state. Prepare yourself and your space.
On Day Five of the Working, we call upon the Warrior God, the god who drives forward, charging ahead into new territory and brings change. The Warrior leads and protects.
We call upon the Warrior God.
Within you the Child of Light holds the blessings of the Father, Rebel and Ecstatic, and truly begins the path of the New Year, with the first sign of Spring, the first sign of the Astrological Year, Aries. On this Fifth day, you walk the Royal Road of Initiation among the stars until you come across the dark silhouette of the Warrior, the God who protects and guards the way.
The Warrior stops you. He challenges you. He does not believe you are ready to pass onward. You must prove to him that you are ready.
While the Warrior teaches the way of spear and sword, the Warrior truly teaches us to wield our power. True Power is neutral, like the first flames of fire. It can warm and illuminate, or it can burn. It can cook, forge tools and be an ally, or it can destroy. Our power, our magick, can bless and curse. We have the power to heal and hex. Through these two sides of the power, we know ourselves. Know thyself as the Temple of Delphi instructs.
(Pause)
You bring the Child of Light in your hands to the Warrior.
The Warrior then returns to the Child to You and Blesses your Hands, to heal and to harm.
Use them wisely.
The Warrior asks you how you will use your power? What will you defend and protect? What empire will you create? What will you destroy?
(Pause)
Receive the Wisdom of the Warrior, the blessings and responsibility of power.
(Pause)
We thank the Warrior God. Blessed be.
Return
What happens in this vision will help you unfold your experiences for the Month when the Sun occupies the sign of Aries.
