Why we all search love- and how to find it for good ♥

Love is in the air... because it's brighid time? Why do we all yearn so much for love? Whether we are in a relationship or not, love calls us...

We all know what Rumi tells us: our task is not to find love, but to let crumble the walls we put up between her and us.

I feel you who read this here in this sacred space. I feel the energy of a circle of women. I feel my eyes soften and I invite you to allow yours to soften too. For love cannot be spoken of unless we feel her. The words only get meaning when we are with her.

The search for love has nothing to do with neediness. It is safe here to feel how your heart longs for love. You won't be judged. we will stay with you. As we sit with our longing, listening to our heartbeats, we gradually sink a bit deeper.

Maybe you are ready now to read what I have to say. Read it with your heart, with gentle eyes. The truth is, we long for love because it is who we are. Without love we are like fish outside the water. Our world is so crazy we don't register anymore how far from love we are.

When you meet a sister or brother in the circle, when you wait for the bus, or whether you are in the office.. love should be part of the experience like water is part of everything the fish does.

We have come to accept the delusion that love is related to family, intimate friends and partners. Because those are the only places where a trace of love is still left. The truth is, love should be EVERYWHERE.

We are gulping for lack of love like fish on the shore, we are dying, and we think it is normal and we judge ourselves. There is no sarcity of love, like for the fish there is no scarcity of water.

Then what happened? Why are we so far removed from love? How can we find her back? Well, what happened is history. And the past two thousand years are one big story of abuse after abuse, in private and local and global circles. Constellation theory  for one is teaching us how the traumatising effect of abuse goes on for generations.

There has been too much accumulation of abuse. Just feel back into your history and it is there. Feel the earth around you and it's there. Because we are all in it, because it is so massive, our standards shift and we don't realize it. But you and I, within the safe container of our circle, we feel it. It hurts. My Goddess how it hurts. But you are not in this alone.

Only when there is enough support and we stand the pain do the walls we put up crumble down.

We live in an extraordinary time. For there are so many of us who are feeling this, even if it is still half unconscious. We are ready to turn this thing around. The love we tap into is already enough to start facing the pain. And so the flow of love will start growing again.

It is a delusion that finding love is an individual search. It is collective. You and me, we are in. Allow your eyes to soften again. Feel your breath. Feel all that has been touched in our circle today. It is much. I ask that you allow yourself and each other time to take it all in. This has taken thousands of years to manifest. We may take time to grow into the vastness of the task we are facing. And we are able to hold more and more, the healing is already happening.

Valentine's Day is coming up. May every heart you see, every tune you hear, be a gentle reminder of the waters we once swam in and will swim in again ♥

I offer Sacred Space Online Events and a Priestess Training in Avalon, Egypt, Crete and Netherlands. This is just the beginning of my bio, and I know it’s already so much. I published a book in Netherlands: Living In Bliss, The Path of Initiation in Ancient Goddess Cultures (in Dutch). What intrigues me now is leaving behind old structures and being ever more true to the moment. I live next to the sea with my dog and cat, and love travel and dancing. Read more about me on
