Tarot Templates: A Card A Day Creates Magic

Tarot can be used for many things including futurecasting. This blog will focus on Tarot as a tool for introspection including spreads, readings, individual card explorations and investigating themes of Tarot. You can expect discussions of magical uses of Tarot as well. If you have a question, please send it for possible inclusion in a blog topic.

TarotBlogHop: Imbolc 2017 Ace in the Hole

PREVIOUS | MASTER | NEXT

Welcome to the first of the 2017 Tarot Blog Hops. This is our seventh Imbolc hop. We began in 2012 with the question, "How can I be a better candle?" This hop was begun as a way to highlight the online Tarot community's commitment to working together rather than against one another. I'm so very proud that we are still doing this! Every six weeks, any where from 10-30 of us gather to share our thoughts on one topic. We love new bloggers too so please come join us. We are a Facebook-based group that maintains a very tight focus on the topic.

I'm the wrangler for this particular hop. The topic is "How can I best foster the energy of the Aces in my life?"

To me aces are the beginning of the suits as seeds are the beginning of the plant. In my work on YouTube, I have been working slowly, intermittently on a series of videos that address the Tarot by the numbers.

In the 2013 Imbolc Tarot Blog Hop, Aisling asked us to consider what was in our bellies. I designed this spread called "Seeds in My Belly" which addresses how to resolve which seeds to focus on.

When I think about fostering energy of the Aces, I am drawn to consider growth. What growth do I want to manifest in my life? For me it's not enough to decide what I want to manifest. I need to also think about actions to take.

To that end, here is my Manifesting Goals spread for you.

MANIFESTING GOALS

b2ap3_thumbnail_DeviantMoonBorderless_1Swords001.jpgThe first step is to decide what goal you want to manifest, then pick the Ace that best represents that. For instance, the Ace of Wands might be used for a trip you want to take or a physical activity like learning how to dance. Cups is good for self-care goals as well as relationships. I might use Pentacles for a money goal or business concept. But my goal is to complete a book on Affirmations that I've begun so I will be using the Ace of Swords as I associate Air with Swords. Air is my mental suit in this case.

So the center card would be the Ace of Air while yours may differ.

Then below the center card, lay a card to answer this question: What can I do to best support my work towards manifesting my goal?

To the left of the center card, lay a card to answer: What am I missing that I need to manifest my goal?

Above the center card, lay a card to answer this question: Who will help me reach my goal?

Finally, place a card to the right of the center card to answer this question: What is the best next step to reaching my goal?

May you hit all the goals you are willing to stretch for! Like the Great Gretzky said, "You miss 100 percent of the shots you don't take." Don't weep over missed opportunities, y'all. Make magic happen by taking the shot.

Seek joy, y'all. Pass it on.

I really like this spread, Arwen - it's clear, uncluttered, and really identifies the crux of the situation, giving clear direction and insight! :) I can't wait to give it a whirl! :)
    Thanks for sharing!
