Entering the buzzing Cairo souk filled with aliveness, I walked about feeling uplifted, smelling shishlik roasting and hookah pipe smoke. Immensely attracted to the turquoise that was mined in the eastern desert of Egypt; I had to purchase a colorful Nefertiti necklace of orange and turquoise beads, as well as a “had to have” exquisite turquoise ring. The greenish blue tint of turquoise is symbolic of the joy of life and to this day, I frequently wear it.

The Europa Hotel, from which I could see the three Great Pyramids, was home yet again for a few more days. Throughout the nights at the Europa I was in touch with the stars of Sirius and the Pleiades. Bright Light Spirit Beings often came and went, the eyes of which were deep violet and blazed like stars on a clear winter night. This sacred site was full of Star Being energy being pulled in and cellular memory awakened in me as the Pyramids were being activated!

My dinners were at Pizza Hut, a block or two away. I had to laugh at you, Cairo. Where else in the world would there be a keffiyehed shepherd in a traditional striped galabiya dress, lying on the green lawn of a Pizza Hut with a herd of smelly braying sheep?

Busing back to Tel Aviv, Israel, always took a full day, with a few pee breaks in extremely primitive conditions, and several stops to pick up bottles of water and cheap cookie snacks. Jeeps filled with armed guards drove in front of us and behind us, protecting our bus from terrorist attacks and roadside bombs as the dust flew about. All along through the golden, windswept desert were habitual check points, and every hour or so we stopped to check in.

On a subsequent trip to Egypt, shortly before moving back to Canada, I traveled to Egypt again with my son and his girlfriend who were visiting from Canada. This time I intuited to tour to the Saqqara pyramids that lie about 19 kilometers south of modern day Cairo. The children entered the pyramid with our guide, but I felt to stay outside and meditate. As I sat at the remarkable entrance to one of the ancient temples in Saqqara, that are reported to be the oldest stone buildings on the planet, I suddenly became visionary. I saw myself in a flowing white linen type floor-length gown and gold sandals on my feet, walking in a procession. I had several gold bracelets on my wrists and a turquoise cobra earring in my left ear, and I was holding a crystal clear orb that resonated with star power. It was flashing and bright and my whole body was resonating with its power and information that it was receiving. I felt that it was beaming information from Sirius. I took the orb into the temple for future generations to read as it would be translated into the stone walls of the temple. This past life flash was the first one that I ever saw of perhaps 10,000 years ago, and as it began to fade I recalled that this life was shortly after I fled the sinking Atlantis. Unbeknownst to me at the time was that the Saqqara pyramids are some of the oldest ceremonial sites on planet Earth.

Making numerous trips to Egypt while I lived in Israel, I always found more memories, more insights and more of me, not to fail to mention that I always loved the grand melee, earthiness, and the pungent, stimulating smells that were disorderly, boisterous, yet wonderfully exciting, and mysterious Cairo.
