Summer review 2018

Lovely fall is upon us!  Kirk Thomas is wrapping up the last of what can be done this year at White Mountain Druid Sanctuary.

Samona’s Shrine has some more details completed that are hard to see.  We are still trying to make sure the fountain is mouse-proof. The ground has been leveled out.  And we are figuring out where to put the solar panel that will power the fountain. The sun shines on the left side of the Shrine but the fountain is on the right - is the cord long enough?  These questions will be answered over the winter. Here is a picture right now.

Shrine to the Goddess Samona, Lady of the White Salmon River, as of September 2018

While being slowed down this summer by an interesting lack of stucco and too much heat, Kirk was having a statue made in Vietnam of Lleu Llaw Gyffes.  It is now being shipped here. It's about two thirds the size of a person and will sit by the south end of the Stone Circle facing Mt Adams. Lleu Llaw Gyffes was a hero who got attacked and injured and turned himself into a bird to fly away.  This is why he has wings in the statue.

Below is the stand that Kirk is having built between the Shrine to the Morrigan and Taranis.

Lastly for this post, the site for the Shrine to the Goddess Brigid is coming along.  An irrigation channel will run under the Shrine so this has been built over and leveled.  Also the walkway was of varying heights, so that has been leveled also. Not very interesting stuff but very important.

The stakes in the picture are shaped in a circle outlining where the foundation will be built next Spring.

Hopefully I can get at least one more post in before winter settles in :)
