Crystal People: Making the Connection

Enter into an in-depth discussion about the world of the Crystal People. In this blog spot we will explore the truth that crystals are sentient beings and learn how to connect with them. We’ll cover all areas of quartz crystal such as how they form, methods of cleansing, clearing and programming, how and why to make crystal grids and other tools, how and where to dig your own crystals and much more.

LEFT & RIGHT ACTIVATION WINDOWS - Time Links To The Past & Future

This week we're going to discuss Left and Right Activation Windows in crystals.

To review what we discussed last week, a Window crystal is a crystal with an extra facet. To determine if you have a window, you count the faces.

As we talked about last week, Windows are also called "Time Links". A Window with an upright diamond (points oriented to north, south, east and west) is simply called a "Window".

If the diamond (now a parallelogram) is squished sideways and leaning to the right, it is called a Right Activation Window, or Time Link to the Future. If it is squished sideways and leaning left, it is called a Left Activation Window or Time Link to the Past. These "leaning" windows are what we'll talk about this week.

To recap on how to determine if we have a window, I'll re-post a little from last week's post. Here's a reminder on the parts of a crystal:

anatomy-of-a-crystal

When determining whether we have a window, we will be focusing on the SIDES and the FACETS or FACES.

sides and faces

A typical, intact quartz crystal will always have six sides and six facets/faces. If you imagine the sides as "walls" and the facets as "roofs", each side (wall) will have a corresponding facet (roof).

In the drawing to the left, you can see that each side (wall) has a corresponding facet (roof). If we could turn the crystal, you would find 6 sides and 6 facets, each side topped with a corresponding facet (or face).

The quickest way to determine whether you have a window is to look at the terminating end of the crystal and count faces or facets. If the crystal is intact, and there are 6 facets, you don't need to proceed, you don't have a Window.

sides and facesNot all crystals will be uniform like the first illustration. In a less uniform crystal like the drawing to the right,  you will notice that not all faces reach the tip. That's OK and it is quite common. Generally any face that reaches toward the tip and has a side for its bottom is one of the six faces. A small facet like the triangle in the drawing to the right often tricks people into thinking they have a window when they don't. It's important to locate all the facets and determine if there are more than 6 before you decide it is a window.

sides and faces and a windowIf a facet seems to be trapped between two faces and two sides, it is a Window.

Another way to determine which is the Window is: if two adjacent sides (walls) each have their own facet (roof) and they also share a facet (roof), then the shared facet (roof) is the Window.

Of course, as with all crystals, you will find what seem to be exceptions to this, (especially on some of the more difficult crystals to read). It may take some practice to master this skill.

Now, in Left and Right Activation Windows, the diamond is squished. Here is a picture of some Left Activation Windows (Time Links to the Past):

LEFT ACTIVATION WINDOW - Time Link to the Past

As you can see, some of them are very thin and some are a little fatter, but all of them point or lean to the left.

Here is a picture of Right Activation Windows:

RIGHT ACTIVATION WINDOW - Time Link to the Future

Just as with the Left Activation Windows, some of them are very thin and some are a little fatter, but all of these windows point or lean to the right.

I have seen some some references to "left handed crystals" and "right handed crystals"... and they refer to a Left or Right Activation Window being called a left or right handed crystal if it falls to the left or right of the main face... I haven't found this description to be true for me. Generally to me, wherever the window occurs on the crystal I have found them to have right or left window properties. Also calling them right or left HANDED makes me think of a crystal which you would hold in right or left hand only, and I have found this to be according to the CRYSTAL not the windows present. To me the "activation" is referring to working with activating your left or right brain (logic brain or creative brain).

Left and Right Activation Windows serve basically two functions... One, is a Time Link to the Past/Future, two, is linking us to our Left/Right Brain Functions (left brain is the logical, reasoning, factual mind and right brain is the creative, intuitive, feeling mind). When working with them as time links, you can use them as a portal of sorts to times past or future in THIS lifetime and/or times past or future in OTHER lifetimes.

When working with Left Activation Windows in the capacity of left brain activation, it energetically points to the left brain functions we discussed such as analysis and facts. When working with them for the right brain activation, it energetically points to the right brain functions we discussed such as intuition and creativity. If you find you are more dominant with either right or left brained thinking, you might work with the window crystal linking you to the opposite brain to build a stronger connection there. Once you feel balanced you might keep one of each (right and left activation window crystals) to help maintain that balance.

For working with the windows as Time links, the same logic applies. With Left Activation Windows or Time Links to the Past, the past is generally something we know, something based on facts which have already occurred. Something we have experienced, so it has a form and a logic about it. With Right Activation Windows or Time Links to the Future, the future is generally something we dream about, something based on things which haven't yet occurred. Since it isn't something which we have experienced, we can use the future to imagine, create, intuit and dream.

As with diamond shaped Windows or Time Links, you might meditate and work with these different applications. You might use right or left activation window crystals in a grid or carry a right or left activation window crystal in a pocket to remind you of the additional view it affords (whether you are working with linking to past or future time or linking with or tapping into logical or intuitive mind). If you have other ways you have found right or left activation window crystals to be useful, please share in the comments below!

I hope you have enjoyed this discussion of Left and Right Activation Window crystals. Next week we will revisit Enhydro crystals.
