This week we're going to discuss Golden Healer quartz crystals.
They are quartz crystals that are partially or totally covered with a transparent golden-yellow mineral. The coating ranges from iridescent yellow to rusty dark orange, from total coverage to skippy, partial coverage. This coating doesn't come off in an acid bath. Often the lightly coated Golden Healers will have rainbow iridescence on the outer layer (like rainbows you see on oil slicks, also called "natural rainbow aura"). These points emit an especially high energy.
There are crystals which are evenly coated with an iron oxide layer which will come off in an acid bath, however, I still call them Golden Healers. Although some of this mineral will come off in an acid bath, some won't (the true Golden Healer description). I choose to leave them as they are, natural, with all the mineral evenly intact. they look nicer and they also still have the Golden Healer energy. Here are a few examples of such:
Metaphysically, Golden Healer crystals are good for healing. They have a soft, bright energy. The lightly coated Healers have an enthusiastic and helpful liveliness in their aura. You don't even have to pick them up to experience this shift. Here are some of these lightly coated Golden Healers, some have natural rainbow aura:
The Golden Healers with a thicker, denser coating have a heavier, more serious energy.
Golden Healers are one good example of very small points having as much energy as a very large point, ounce for ounce. I use this analogy in my book, Understanding The Crystal People:
Convenience and use play a part in the question of size. Is bigger better? Does a large point put out more energy than a small point? Certainly, by mass alone, a 500-pound single crystal point is going to exude more energy than a tiny jewelry point, but this is not to say that the smaller points don't have comparable energy or enough energy to matter. Comparatively speaking, a small crystal might have the same energy as a large point.
By example, an ant can move ten to fifty times its body weight. Using that gauge, you can see that ants are stronger than humans, ounce for ounce. A small point may be stronger than a large point in the same respect; some very small points are deceptively powerful, meaning that bigger in size doesn't always mean better. Also, it is easy to put a small point around your neck or in your pocket. Wheeling a 500-pound crystal around in a wagon would get tiring after a while, don't you think?
In summary, depending on the crystal, its use and your need, a small point can be every bit as helpful to you as its larger cousin. The old adage is true about not judging a book by its cover (or an item by its size).
