New Moon and a New Chapter

There’s a New Moon just around the corner–Monday, September 2nd, to be exact. It interestingly falls on Labor Day, or “do not Labor Day,” as I’ve always referred to it. This will fall in line with back-to-school or continuing education for some, ushering in the start of fall for others, and the final stretch seeing us through until the end of 2024 for all. So what does all this mean, exactly?

Getting Organized with Virgo

Well for starters, the sun has astrologically shifted to Virgo, which makes it the perfect time to get all your ducks in a row and get organized. Finish up those outstanding projects on your to-do list, for Pete’s Sake! Please note that I am saying this as much to myself, as to all of you. I’m personally making up a point to tie-up summer lingering loose ends that need some completion. I’m nearly there, and even if I don’t get everything done that I want to by Labor Day, I’m confident I’ll meet my goals by the end of the month.

What else is going on astrologically? There’s a pretty big cosmic cluster of energy brewing, according to Stephanie M. Campos at wellandgood.com. This could lead to some growing pains, but if you use the power of Virgo to streamline and tweak your plans for a better you and a better daily plan, it will be worth it.

Howling for Social Injustice

Speaking of New Moons, they happen to be one of Mari Lynn Young’s favorite phases! She is the Facebook page administrator for the longtime local Milwaukee Pagan group, The Fellowship Of Alternative Beliefs (affectionately known as FAB). She has insightful insights to share on “the growing pains of the mature soul,” the beauty of Native American spirituality, and howling about social injustice. Be sure to listen to her motivating interview here, at “Women Who Howl at the Moon,” (now available on Apple Podcasts, too)!

So mull over what you want to start a fresh chapter on, this (do not) Labor Day weekend. Allow yourself to daydream, journal, and then channel that Virgo/New Moon energy to put your plan into action.
