Tarot Templates: A Card A Day Creates Magic
Tarot can be used for many things including futurecasting. This blog will focus on Tarot as a tool for introspection including spreads, readings, individual card explorations and investigating themes of Tarot. You can expect discussions of magical uses of Tarot as well. If you have a question, please send it for possible inclusion in a blog topic.

So what is Mabon? There are a few ideas about it but the ones that resonate with me are that it is the 2nd harvest festival. The focus on this festival is on gathering up all the things you can. Then share what you can't use. My coven often put on a ritual followed by a feast. Yep, we called it Pagan Thanksgiving. Now that I am a bit more aware, Pagan Harvest Sharing works for me.
Balance is a big part of the equinox celebrations. Many will attempt (and succeed) balancing an egg. In my other blog (keep hopping to find that)I discussed what it means to be out-of-balance. So in this blog, let's examine balance. The dictionary defines balance as a noun. To wit, a condition in which different elements are equal or in the correct proportions.
Using that, one might say that neither black nor white are balanced. Think about it. On the light spectrum, black in the absences of ALL light while white is the presence of ALL light. All. Not some. Not half. Not a bit of this and a bit of that. ALL. So that's not even balanced. On the color wheel, black is the presence of all colors while light is the absence of all color.
No clue when I learned that or from whom, but it still, you will pardon the pun, colors my views when someone asks if I am a white witch or a black witch. Neither. I am neither. Not only do I vehemently reject the racist thinking behind white=good, black=bad, I also think it's completely out of balance. I mean...all isn't balanced, is it?
One thing I do know I do is fall into the trap of Either/Or thinking. This happens a lot. When someone does this in the corporate world, you see a lot of suits running around shouting about boxes and thinking outside of them. One of my managers back in that world said the wisest thing. She said she never thought about a box, so she never had to think outside of it. A very wise woman.
I have clients who often come to me with problematic decisions. Sometimes it is not so much a choice of which one is better because both (or all) are great. They want to know which one stands out the most as the path that will bring them the most fulfillment. I use a basic V spread for most. If you do it upside down, it is a scale which also works. I just prefer going up.
Arwen’s V is for Choices Spread
The first card or fulcrum point of the V is where you are now. You haven't moved forward. You are in a position of observation.
Cards two and three are the first pieces of the V itself on either side of the first card. They represent choice one and choice two. Typically, my client is able to immediately identify which side is for which choice.
Cards four and five are the second pieces in the V. They represent the best of each choice. What is the very best thing coming from each one?
Cards six and seven are the third on either side. Here you learn what the biggest challenge of each choice will be.
Then the final cards of eight and nine complete the V. They answer the question of what the greatest reward will be of each choice.
The key in this reading is letting the client really talk things through. Often, they already know the choice they feel in their gut. This just helps them check their hunch. Occasionally, I've had a client be surprised that the choice with the more difficult challenge offers a reward they want more. It is always up to them to make that choice.
What's the most difficult choice in front of you right now? Try this spread out to help yourself work through it. I am also a professional reader if you would rather have someone else do it.
Seek joy, y'all.

In many of the Easter philosophies the black/white symbology shows that one always will give way to the other almost like an eternal dance, night surrenders to the day just as the sun surrenders to the moon. I like how you've used balance and counterbalance within your posts.
I've used a very minimalist V shape for a while now, I don't tend to attach signifiers to each of the cards, but rather let the card energy and vibrations decide on what they have to say. -
