A Healthy Dose of Self-Care

One of the things that we can always feel grateful for is good health. Without it, we often can't perform the simplest of daily tasks on our to-do list. Because it's such a basic and instinctual need, it's all too easy to take our well-being for granted. With patients exercising a healthy suspicion of certain drugs being over-prescribed by the medical community, it's no surprise that holistic and alternative medicines are being sought out more than ever before. Many therapies and treatments originated in the Far East, such as Qigong, reiki, cupping, and acupuncture.

Needles You Needn't to be Afraid of

Acupuncture can be traced back as far as 6000 BCE, and was first practiced in China substituting long, pointy bones for the needles. The concept behind inserting the needles into the human body to combat anything from stress to pain is intriguing. It all centers around each individual's life force, or "qi," running though the body. When certain areas are in disharmony, your qi cannot easily flow the way it is supposed to. You become blocked and this can lead to chronic discomfort and illness. A set of up to 20 sterilized needles are gently pushed into the skin for up to 30-60 minutes at a time. Acupuncture enthusiasts affirm that it really works for them, and they start to notice the benefits very soon after their first few treatments. Just remember if trying this experience for the first time yourself, it helps to keep your eyes closed and stay in a meditative state—otherwise you can't let the healing work for you and through you!

Frozen 3. A Time of Awakening

Frozen 3, A Time of Awakening

When visiting my son and family in Vancouver recently, we rented the movie Frozen 2. It had many metaphysical references, and I enjoyed watching it with my six-year-old granddaughter’s head on my shoulder. We, as a species have suffered. Why? A shocking revelation this is not. Greed, resulting in massive materialism, as well as ignorance and intolerance have ravaged our planet. Yes, we have many Lightworkers, I being one since 1989, having then dedicated my life to bring forth and share Universal Truths that I, a wise elder, discovered or uncovered along the way.

Anger is Sticky

I'm preparing to receive my Reiki II attunement, and I've been thinking a lot lately about anger.

There are countless things in my life that make me angry right now. My kids drive me up the wall. My husband leaves messes in the kitchen. I don't particularly like my day job, but I haven't yet figured out how to quit it and still pay the mortgage. My back hurts a lot. Also, we're in the middle of a late capitalist apocalypse.

Grey ETs and Reiki Bodywork

It was 1996, and I had recently moved to live in the Central Mountains of British Columbia, and was open to and available for Spirit guide partnerships to create a special place there. I had opened my log home as a retreat center and discovered that I now lived on the UFO Trench of BC. Just the thing, I was up for it! Supernatural connections immediately began to happen, and I was thrilled to be back in Canada after my two year sojourn in Israel, living on that massive portal. Now I was near the Clearwater/Jasper Portal. I began to work with the Deva of the land, Pan—CEO of Nature Spirits, and further connecting more with the local nature spirits, akin to the elves that resided in my home, the cutest little elves who had been called in by the former owner’s young daughter.

My pyramid shaped roofed upstairs bedroom became my Reiki and meditation room, where I began to encounter the locals; I’m talking about the fourth and fifth dimensional locals. After the initial elf visit, who asked if they could Reiki my feet, and me asking if we could work together for creating a special place here in the mountains, others began to appear. One of the others was a group of beings that we know as the Greys. As I was in meditation one morning, in my Reiki room, suddenly standing before me was a group of Greys. I intuited that they were from Zeta Reticuli. The Greys that appeared before me were skinny, tall, five feet or so, having the large slanted eyes that we are familiar with and being grey in skin color. There was a feeling of neutrality about them, and I wondered why they had come for a visit, my first ET visit in the BC mountains of many to come later.

It has been a while since I have had a chance to sit down and write.  Too long in fact.  I have left yet another job and started another, more learning of things that in some ways just do not make sense.  Another job where I am the oldest and am teased about my "ways" of doing things.  Just today I was teased about how I always look at the good side of things.  Well, I'm a Reiki Master/Teacher, there's a reason why I am this way.  But I have had time to reflect.  I find that I am still trying to find the job that I am comfortable in, one that I feel comfortable in my own skin.  On June 30 I turned another year older (49), way too old and starting to sense the Wise Woman in me.

One new aspect is that my middle daughter, Marie, has opened up to let me know that she is seeing and sensing spirits as well as energy from people around her.  My husband has recently asked me to cleanse our house (teenagers create and attract a lot of various types of energies).  Marie is going to learn this process.  I am going to take her under my wings and teach her.  This gives me two benefits.  First I know what she is learning and I can guide her towards more material.  She is curious and I want to encourage this curiosity.  Secondly, this gives me a chance to dust off my course books and various other books and binders and relearn some aspects of healing modalities that I have neglected.  I have a student!  But I need to remember that I live with this student and to not overwhelm her with information all the time.

Talking Pines in Extraordinary Powerful Jerusalem!

UNTSO headquarters where my husband worked was situated on the 'Mt. of Evil Council' in the old British Parliament house, Jerusalem, deserted in 1948 when the Brits pulled out of Palestine. That was the year this explorer was born. The grounds overlooked the Old City of Jerusalem in an amphitheater-like setting. Beautiful. Pyramidal cypress, gigantic eucalyptus, and spreading magnolia trees surrounded the turn of the century grey stucco buildings. There were acres of alluring, well-manicured English country gardens and a sunken rose garden that was adorned with an Elizabethan fountain. It was surrounded by a covered patio where dancing used to take place.

The magic was still there on those hot summer days, and when I lingered, the fragrance from the lavender beds filled my essence, feeding my soul. On one visit, suddenly, everything about me shimmered. The air was filled with bouncing electrical bursts of energy. The shimmer came from the fountain in the gardens center and then jumped to the rose bed beside it. I stood mesmerized and feeling a quickening taking place in my higher chakras. A swirl of bright golden light descended on my crown chakra and I felt an awesome divine transcendence that floored me. What was it with this powerful portal I was suddenly living in? Who and what are the energies that flit in and out of here.

Note: For readers unfamiliar with Reiki, a basic FAQ page can be found here.

There were five people gathered in our teachers living room for the Reiki Level I class: my girlfriend and myself, a middle aged woman and her former daughter in law, and a thirty-something male lawyer.
