Mood Lifter: DIY Anti-anxiety Home Misters

Sometimes worry can be stealthy and surprise us with its arrival. Other times, it will make itself known loudly and clearly and sometimes. With the constancy of demands upon our time and energy, it is easy to understand why so many of us can feel anxiety. I urge you to not feel any shame about it, Ever. Many, many of us feel much the same way as you and my intention with this book is to offer helpmate so you can find what works for you. It might well be a combination of a lot of little things. I’ll give you an example from my own life People that know me well know that I love a strong cup of coffee, preferably a triple soy latte. I even thought of myself as a coffee achiever despite a lifelong love of tea.   The routine of getting my beloved latte, however, went from a ten of fifteen minute event to over a half hour at my littl3e neighborhood café, worse, with uneven results. I started making coffee at home with even more uneven results. So, I began experimenting with herbal tea combination and discovered my dream combination which starts my day off perfectly. It is a large cup of chamomile, cinnamon and apple. The splendid scent, delicious taste and heat is something I look forward to each morning. As if that is not enough, I noticed a side benefit. If I have it right as I open email each day, I am undaunted by any digital onslaught that has come my way and I realized that, even thought I was just looking for my ideal morning beverage, this sturdy cup of tea was also reducing my anxiety. Find your little helpers and incorporate them into your sacred self care

Witch Craft: Sun Infused-Flower Essences

For centuries, flower essences have been used to heal many infirmities (see list below).  While the health food shop versions are handy, they are also very spendy. You can make your own flower essences at home. Start by making a mother tincture– the most concentrated form of the essence – which can then be used to make stock bottles. The stock bottles are used to make dosage bottles for the most diluted form of the essence, which is the one you actually take.

What you will need to make a sun-infused essence:

Greenwitchery: Grow Your Own Healing Herb Garden

Basil is beloved because it’s so delectable and versatile. It is easily grown in pots. Take care to remove the growing tip when the plants are 15cm high for bushier growth. Plant out in the garden when the weather gets warmer. Basil prefers full sun and a sheltered spot.

Chives come from the onion family and have slim, pointed leaves. You should sow seeds directly in the ground in early spring, late March or April. Chives grow best in a sunny spot with rich soil, so keep the plants watered. Chives produce pretty purple or pink and perfectly round flowers. Gorgeous in the garden and palatable on the plate Sage is a marvelous cooking herb and is truly easy to grow.

Massage Oils For Healing and Protection

Massage oils can be made in minutes if you have the ingredients on hand; head to your nearest health food store and get the raw ingredients. I am one lucky lady to have a soap and candle store in my neighborhood, Juniper Tree in Berkeley, California. I am there twice a month picking up what I need from candle wicks to essential and base oils and plain bath salts for my custom creations. Record your experiments with various oils in a journal. After several moons, note which had the best results for you and which you preferred. For example, if you received a proposal for marriage after a Very Vanilla soaking session, I’d say that works for you!
