Twists and Turns

Long time, no write. Although I do have three drafts started on the Word app on my tablet, my son had commandeered my tablet after his high school graduation and I had only been lucky enough to touch it two brief times since then.

Now that I'm on a training trip away from my family, I find that I have pockets of free time.  And, bonus, I have my laptop back!  Had to use it when I worked from home for a large retail company.  But now that I'm in training for another work-at-home job (much better than the previous one), I get to have it back.  At some point I will grab my tablet and transfer the drafted blogs and post them.  So I was getting ready to leave my training day thinking that all I wanted to do was sit and decompress and write when I received a lovely "missing you" email, gently reminding me that I have a warm place to write - exactly what was on my brain.  Someone was reading my thoughts.

Life has a way of sending you on twists and turns, presenting opportunities that you may not be able to walk away from.  So, you take advantage of these opportunities and get swept up in life and things fall through the cracks.  Kids get older and busier and you get older and slower.

One thing I have been able to do, is count my blessings, every day.  In my mind, that is one of the most important parts of my life.  That I have a healthy family, a happy family, a family that enjoys hanging around each other and one that looks forward to those special days that we can push the business of life aside and just spend time together.

I am thankful for the job opportunities that I have been blessed with, in that with each move, the job gets better.

There have been baby steps in getting back to my spirit self.  Thankfully, I have two beautiful teenaged girls who are eager to go find that spirit with me.

We placed a much-needed order of essential oils, a nice large box of them. What a wonderful day it was when that box arrived and we opened it up, the smell was like welcoming a long lost friend.  Oh, the wonderful things that we have been doing with these oils.  Our house smells wonderful and our bodies are healing.

My girls and I have collaborated on our creative efforts and have sold our goods at a few vendor shows. We did so well that I started a Facebook group page for our goods.  The girls are so excited, and the vendor show season is getting ready to start again.

So the Laughing Moon Sidhe are slowly gearing up for the fall/winter season.

There's something grounding that happens when the three of us get together and start creating, imagining, and dreaming. The energy that we create can be felt in our creations.

This is a special time, a time when we discover each other by seeing where our minds wander, the girls asking questions, exploring my old knowledge and I learn more about them.

Being a mom, that's my number one job, regardless of what all the other opportunities offer, no matter the benefits, the salary, the bonuses.  It's being there for these certain moments with my kids and twisting, turning and winding our spirits together and creating that tree of life.

Together our roots run deep.
