Journeys: Thoughts from a Druid Path
Journeys through the world around us, from a Druidic perspective.
Time Prayer
Time Prayer
I look up at the Moon,
Ageless watcher of the skies,
Timeless God
Or
Goddess,
So brightly above.
I look up at this moment,
A moment fleeting in time,
By one,
Just as fleeting,
As that moment,
Just passing.
Hear my prayer,
For this moment,
For this briefest,
Portion of time,
Let me touch this instance,
With the endless
Beauty over head.
Grant that this moment,
Exists,
Grant that this awareness,
Lingers,
Grant that this presence,
Sustains,
Like a painting in gallery,
Spoken prayer that it is.
So that others may see it,
And hear it,
And pray it,
And it hangs like a lantern,
So others may find it,
Whether they seek it or not.
So, when those that come
Seeking,
For a prayer
Or that moment,
They can find it
Still praying,
In this time
Or without.
