b2ap3_thumbnail_800px-Oglala_National_Grassland.jpgShe waits beneath

Barely constrained

Waiting to wrap the world in

Vines, grass, bacteria

To fill the world’s oceans with

Krill, fins, coral

Life

We think ourselves powerful

That she is contained, under control, beaten back

Beaten down

That she is orderly, predictable, tame

It is a lie we tell ourselves

For if we rest but for but an instant

Life bubbles over

Spilling in disorderly pools and currents

Sharing her bounty without judgment

Seeking only

The dance
