Middle Earth Magic: Inspired Ideas and Seasonal Spells for Your Enchanted Life

I grew up on a farm in West Virginia and learned much about herbs, trees, animals, gardening, foraging  and so much about nature. I incorporate this wisdom I learned from elders in my family into my spellwork. When I finally left the farm, I majored in Medieval Studies, my attempt to emulate my idol, J.R.R. Tolkien. All these influences led me to my own blended brew which I call "middle earth magic," containing a mix of the modern and the time-tested "old ways."

Body Beautiful Rite: Lust Dust

Nowadays, you can buy body glitter almost anywhere. I’ve noticed that we witchy types were way ahead on the glitter curve. Whether it is baby powder, body glitter, or the edible Honey Dust sold by the inimitable Kama Sutra body product company, start with a powder that feels comfortable on your body. Get the following supplies:

  • Your chosen powder
  • 1 drop of amber essential oil
  • 1 drop of vanilla essential oil
  • 1 teaspoon lotus root powder
  • 1⁄4 teaspoon cinnamon (ground)

Add the ingredients to your powder. Stir or shake, then let it dry out before stirring again.

Stand naked and gently rub the powder all over your body while you whisper this charm:

I feel the warmth of your hands.
I feel the hardness of your body against mine. I feel your tongue.
I am yours for your pleasure.
You are mine for my pleasure.
This dust, our lust,
together, we must!

All day or night, your skin will feel tingly and ever so slightly warm. Notice the interested glances wherever you go. Soon, your body will be a map for exploration.
