Middle Earth Magic: Inspired Ideas and Seasonal Spells for Your Enchanted Life
I grew up on a farm in West Virginia and learned much about herbs, trees, animals, gardening, foraging and so much about nature. I incorporate this wisdom I learned from elders in my family into my spellwork. When I finally left the farm, I majored in Medieval Studies, my attempt to emulate my idol, J.R.R. Tolkien. All these influences led me to my own blended brew which I call "middle earth magic," containing a mix of the modern and the time-tested "old ways."
Bliss Brew: Apricot Passion Potion
This witch’s brew is intended to enhance the expression of passion, as its name foretells. Upon imbibing the drink and indulging in erotic exploits, mutual orgasms are guaranteed. You will need the following:
- 1⁄3 cup dried vervain
- 9 dried apricots
- Honey
- Brandy
- Glass decanter
- Mortar and pestle
Using a mortar and pestle, grind the dried vervain to a powder—hemp can also be added in or substituted if you’re so inclined.
Dip the nine dried apricots in honey, and then roll them in the powder you’ve just made. Steep the apricots in one cup of your best brandy and store in a tightly sealed glass decanter.
Store the cordial in a cool, dark place for one complete cycle of the moon. Whenever you have an erotic thought, go shake the potion while fantasizing about mind-blowing sex. Consult your moon calendar and wait until the moon is in Cancer, Pisces, or Scorpio before straining and serving. Drink and total bliss is yours for the asking.
