The market seems to be flooded with Wicca 101 books but in a drought of well-written books that go beyond this level. So I am very happy to say that here is a book for those of us who are ready for something that has meat to it.

The information here, although not new, is presented in a way that is different from other books that have flooded the market since the early 1990’s. Reminiscent of Deepak Chopra’s Seven Spiritual Laws, A Course In Miracles, and other books along this same line of thought, it is, unlike them, presented in a way that is based in magick. Ms. Telesco challenges her readers to take a spiritual journey that requires honesty, intent, and the courage to transform through self-knowledge.

Throughout the book the five senses and elements are interwoven through the lessons to give more depth and insight to how they may be incorporated into our everyday lives. She also suggests exercises and guided meditations to help assist the reader in moving through the circle of self-awareness. If the reader takes the time utilize this information, a transformation will take place that truly is magickal.

This is a book that I will come back to again and again. To quote Ms. Telesco directly (since I couldn’t say it any better): “ . . . adepthood isn’t necessarily a proverbial brass ring that you just reach one day, and then that’s the end of it. Instead, it’s an ongoing series of goals, internalized wisdoms, accepted responsibilities, failures, reevaluations, and accomplishments that do not end until the end of life itself (and even beyond).”
