Sacred Cells: Embodying the Feminine Divine

Every cell in our beautiful and amazing bodies contains the whirling wisdom of the universe. This is the journey of one witch remembering that, and celebrating the sacred and divine in beings of all genders and manifestations.

Elements of Magic

They are the Elements of Magic:

Air, Fire, Water, Earth, Center.

These Elemental beings blow, burn, flow, ground, transform.

These Elemental beings bring, warm, hydrate, feed, birth.

These Elemental beings disperse, char, erode, decompose, return.

These Elemental beings inspire, engage, cleanse, nourish, intersect.

Air, Fire, Water, Earth, Center, they are the Elements of Magic. The Elementals that we as witches call upon to aid us in our Magic.  The Elementals that existed long before we appeared and will exist long after we are gone.  The Elementals that have their own work and purpose but consent to work with us in our Magic if we are respectful and our purposes align in common cause.

In my Reclaiming Witch Tradition, Elements of Magic/Magick is the first of the core classes folk coming into the tradition are invited to take.  It is the prerequisite to our other Core Classes (Iron Pentacle, Pearl Pentacle, Rites of Passage) or to taking other Paths at our Witchcamps (although we are an anarchist tradition, exceptions have been made).

Reclaiming is an activist tradition, it was gestated in the crucible of the the 1960s from ancestral lines in Feminist Process, Goddess scholarship, Feri and British Traditional Witchcraft, Anarchist practice, the expansion of Science’s discoveries on energy, matter, and the forming of The Universe, Jung’s understandings of Archetypes, and Queer Risings around the world.  It was born and grew as the social justice and eco justice battles of the 1970s flowed into the 1980s and 1990s.  In these current turbulent times for we humans, and as the health and well being of Gaia Herself is being compromised, The Elementals are working with Reclaiming witches around the world, and around the world Reclaiming witches are working with The Elementals, in a mutually respectful culture of consent to address the intersectional issues of these times.

Where there are systems of injustice, oppression, and lies we work with The Elementals to disperse, char, erode, decompose, and transform them.

Where there is wounding and devastation we work with The Elementals to bring life giving breath, to warm, to hydrate and quench, to feed, and to heal.

When the struggle makes us weary, our relationship with The Elementals inspire, engage, cleanse, nourish, and help us hold all possibilities.

And always in love and delight we dance with the wind, burn with the fires of passion, swim in the waters of joy, taste the sweet and savory of the earth, and rest in the center of all.

They are the Elements of Magic:  Air, Fire, Water, Earth, Center.  Blessings on us as we work and play and be in loving relationship with these powerful and ancient Elemental Beings.
